In addition to our supply units, we offer a broad range of accessory elements such as infusion holders, bed separators and equipment rails. These can be fixed to integrated profiles without tools. Furthermore, the proven Schyns accessory groove is integrated on the underside of the horizontal Schyns supply units and luminaires. The accessories can be hung onto this without tools and positioned infinitely along the entire length. You can find out more in our separate accessories catalogue.
The accessory elements we offer are flexible in use and, alongside the optimum in quality and reliability, feature an attractive and functional design. So that you can find out exactly about every element, we have compiled comprehensive technical documentation. We are, of course, also happy to advise you personally at any time.
Application examples

The Schyns Accessory Groove
Accessories can be attached to the patented Schyns accessory groove without tools. The attached parts can be infinitely repositioned in the Schyns accessory groove without tools. Despite its small dimensions, the Schyns accessory groove has an enormous load-bearing capacity.
The added safety: if an accessory is hung in the Schyns accessory groove and is inadvertently pulled forward, a mechanical resistance prevents it from being removed or falling out – the accessory stays in the Schyns accessory groove. It can only be removed if it is first pushed upwards in the Schyns accessory groove. This effectively prevents accidental removal and tampering by third parties.
The Railing
The rail is a round mounting solution for the flexible attachment of accessories to medical supply units. Depending on the version, the accessories can be fitted to the medical supply unit either without tools using star-grip screws or permanently using screws. The supply elements integrated into the medical supply unit, such as sockets, nurse call systems or medical gas outlets, remain fully usable at all times.
In the Schyns hilton medical supply unit, the rail on both sides is always integrated. On our Schyns pure, the front panel can optionally be framed with one or 2 rails. In our Schyns Q100 modular system, the rail can be flexibly integrated as an option across many construction variants.
Equipment Rail
The 25x10 mm equipment rail is the most widespread horizontal mounting in medical technology. Almost all medical-technology device manufacturers offer corresponding mounting options for their products.
The medical supply units of the Schyns Q100 modular system can in most cases be equipped with continuous 25x10 mm equipment rails. On the other medical supply units, equipment rails can be added in the patient environment by means of corresponding accessories. In this way, separate equipment rails permanently fixed to the wall can usually be dispensed with.
Details that count in everyday life.
Whether care, technology or equipment – small functions make the big difference in everyday use. Our solutions are thought through down to the last detail and developed for what really counts: smooth operation.

Our contribution to a more humane healthcare system
healing architecture for all senses
We design spaces that provide tangible support to staff and patients.
A modern patient environment must offer more than just functionality.
As part of interior design, we are responsible for ensuring that technical equipment and architectural atmosphere form a harmonious whole. This approach has guided us for many years – as Alphonse Schyns once said: A hospital does not have to look like a hospital. This idea continues to influence our work today. Our products are developed in collaboration with our customers. This direct exchange ensures that every solution works in the everyday environment of clinics and care facilities: clear, robust, hygienic, and well thought-out exactly where it matters most.
Our work follows the principles of healing architecture. We design spaces that provide tangible support to staff and patients, promote calm, and facilitate processes. This is not a fashionable concept, but an approach that has proven itself over decades.
The multisensory approach—healing architecture for all senses—is a central component of this. Light, acoustics, materials, haptics, and intuitive orientation are specifically coordinated to reduce stress, create clarity, and generate a tangibly soothing environment. This creates an atmosphere that is both professional and relaxing.
Our supply units fit seamlessly into this overall concept as an important component: ergonomic, hygienically designed, and durable. They support staff in their daily work and provide patients with safety and orientation.
This is how we combine technical precision, many years of experience, and a clear design philosophy—and consistently think ahead to the patient rooms of the future.
