The free03 medical supply unit breaks away from classic forms while at the same time meeting all requirements for function and ease of use. The compact unit combines the media supply with a wood panel and a mounted luminaire. The sockets for power and low-voltage current and the medical gases are directly accessible from the front. Wall mounts for multimedia support arms can be integrated behind the wood panel.
Thanks to the arrangement of the supply unit and luminaire elements, everything is exactly where it best serves its purpose: sockets and medical gases are positioned at an easily reachable height above the patient bed, while the light perfectly illuminates the room and the reading and examination area from above.
Application examples

Light and Space
The medical wall luminaire is mounted on the base body. There is a choice of the energy-efficient and long-lasting LED luminaires Schyns S120 or Schyns S130. Our medical wall luminaires feature indirect general lighting as well as a directly emitting, adjustable reading light. All luminaires have the Schyns accessory groove on the underside, into which practical accessories can be hooked without tools and moved continuously.
Compact and Comfortable
In addition to the existing Schyns accessory groove, the free03 also offers the option of adding an integrative standard equipment rail 25x10 mm. The harmonious combination of extruded, natural-colour anodised aluminium profiles with colour-contrasting fronts makes the free03 very high in quality. A wide variety of front decors is available, so that the supply unit integrates coherently into any room design or sets deliberate colour accents.

Our contribution to a more humane healthcare system
healing architecture for all senses
We design spaces that provide tangible support to staff and patients.
A modern patient environment must offer more than just functionality.
As part of interior design, we are responsible for ensuring that technical equipment and architectural atmosphere form a harmonious whole. This approach has guided us for many years – as Alphonse Schyns once said: A hospital does not have to look like a hospital. This idea continues to influence our work today. Our products are developed in collaboration with our customers. This direct exchange ensures that every solution works in the everyday environment of clinics and care facilities: clear, robust, hygienic, and well thought-out exactly where it matters most.
Our work follows the principles of healing architecture. We design spaces that provide tangible support to staff and patients, promote calm, and facilitate processes. This is not a fashionable concept, but an approach that has proven itself over decades.
The multisensory approach—healing architecture for all senses—is a central component of this. Light, acoustics, materials, haptics, and intuitive orientation are specifically coordinated to reduce stress, create clarity, and generate a tangibly soothing environment. This creates an atmosphere that is both professional and relaxing.
Our supply units fit seamlessly into this overall concept as an important component: ergonomic, hygienically designed, and durable. They support staff in their daily work and provide patients with safety and orientation.
This is how we combine technical precision, many years of experience, and a clear design philosophy—and consistently think ahead to the patient rooms of the future.
