The medical wall luminaire creates a welcoming atmosphere that can aid recovery while at the same time improving working conditions for care staff.
The front of the medical wall luminaire can be fitted with high-quality HPL or other materials that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also ensure high durability and ease of care. This makes the wall luminaire not only a functional element but also a stylish accent in any medical facility.
Another important aspect is ease of maintenance: in the event of a defect, the components can be removed quickly. The luminaire insert in particular can be removed easily by releasing the plug connection, enabling fast and uncomplicated servicing. The LED modules are designed to the Zhaga standard, which simplifies the procurement of replacements.

An outstanding feature of the S170 is the carefully considered 6° angle on the top and bottom, which makes it easy to locate built-in components such as sockets and switches. This proven design not only enhances ease of use but also makes a decisive contribution to safety and efficiency in care.
Nursing staff and patients benefit equally from the intuitive handling and the optimum light distribution. Any medical accessories required can be deployed quickly and easily.
In addition, the built-in components are integrated flush, which makes cleaning considerably easier and thus supports the highest hygiene standards. All the criteria for good hygiene in the care room were incorporated into the development.
Light with Practical Standards
With Schyns Biologic Health Light, the S170 medical wall luminaire sets new standards in dynamic lighting and offers an optimal solution for modern care facilities. With the option of fitting the LEDs in different configurations (Schyns Biologic Health Light and fixed white possible), the S170 can be flexibly adapted to the individual requirements of the room and provides an even and pleasant distribution of light.
With a width of 900 mm, the integrated glare-free reading light is particularly generously dimensioned and provides targeted and pleasant lighting for reading areas or for the examination area. The S170 can likewise be equipped with the electronically adjustable reading-light function. This function supports not only the needs of patients but also those of the care staff by creating a functional lighting environment. The reading light can additionally be fitted with atmospheric ambient lighting.
A practice-oriented feature of the S170 is its high colour rendering index (CRI) of over 90. This is especially important in medical environments, where precise colour recognition is decisive for diagnoses and treatments. The recommended COI limit (Cyanosis Observation Index) is also complied with, ensuring good visual diagnostics as well.
